Five new fields of study for the second term at Kish International Campus

      The President of Tehran University Kish International Campus branch announced five new fields of study for the second term and the programming of other fields. In an interview with the students’ news agency ISNA, Dr Nosratollah Zarqam said that Tehran University Kish International Campus began its first term with four new MBA courses in commerce, the English language (Major), architecture, and industrial design at undergraduate level. He continued: “The second term also began with five new fields at postgraduate level”. These include MBA courses in technology, private law, physical education, graphics, and industrial design. He said: “At present, the two courses of technology and private law are full, but enrollments continue in other fields”. He stated that Tehran University Kish International Campus is conducting joint talks with a British university in order to start a PhD course in physical education, and said: “Also, the setup of a postgraduate applied biotechnology course is being discussed with a Swedish university”. He added: “Tehran University Kish International Campus has had an offer of a tourism course from an Italian university at postgraduate level, which is being considered”. He continued: “Tehran University Kish International Campus has written to the Oil and Communications ministries for the setup of courses in energy law and frequency law respectively. A contract was signed with the Ministry of Communications and Technology, and the contract with the Oil Ministry is being discussed”. He said the main objective of Tehran University Kish International Campus was to create new fields of study based on demand and required by society, and stated: “The aim of the campus is to create courses at postgraduate level”. He added: “Tehran University Kish International Campus is following up on new courses at postgraduate level, such as water law, energy economics, trade economics, etc. Pardis is also trying to start a marine engineering course”. He stated that Kish International Campus began its firs term by enrolling 107 students, and said: “Around 85 students will be added to this number for the second term”.
