Kish and Romania stress on developing mutual economic relations
The Romanian government and KFZO stressed on the development of mutual economic, commercial and touristic relations. According to the Office of Cultural and PR Affairs of KFZO, at a meeting between engineer Majid Shayesteh, Board Director and Managing Director of KFZO, with Christian Theodorsko, the Romanian Ambassador to Tehran, both sides stressed on the development of economic, commercial, and touristic relations, and university and research topics. At this meeting, which took place Tuesday morning on Kish Island, Majid Shayesteh said: "Presently, foreign investment opportunities in various economic fields are available more than any other time in the IR of Iran and Kish Island. Investors and those active in Romanian economy can invest in the various economic sectors of this island. He pointed out to the 14-year record of the free zone law and added: "In the past few years, these progressive laws have brought investment stages in KFZ to a conclusion in the shortest possible time". In the end, Shayesteh pointed out to the KFZO priorities, and reminded: "The development of the tourist industry, advanced industries, and university activities at an international level are the main objectives of this organisation". The Romanian Ambassador described the growth and advancement of Kish Island infrastructure as remarkable, and said: "Meeting KFZO officials has paved the way for a more active presence of Romanian investors and tourists on Kish Island". To date, numerous companies from various countries, including Romania, have benefited from the special facilities of the free zone law to invest on Kish Island.
