The fifth horse race of the Persian Gulf Grand Prix on Kish

      The fifth and last horse race of the Persian Gulf Grand Prix took place on Wednesday afternoon at the Kish Horse Racing Club, with the presence of the President of the National Olympic Committee of Iran and the Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of France, with 51 horses of various breeds from Iran and abroad. In the first race of the competitions, Sattar Mehrani riding Kianaz was able to come first, and Abdol Rahim Armideh and Mohammad Khojmeli, riding Yazda and Ilkayeln came second and third respectively. In the second race, Nasser Qezel riding Tiger came first, and Feizollah Raja riding Kaydo, and Mohammad Khojmeli riding Winchester, came second and third. Also, Sattar Mehrani riding Garshasb, Enayatollah Gol Lor riding Selfi, and Mahmoud Gol Lor riding Lino came first to third respectively in the third round of racing. In the fourth round of races, Mahmoud Gol Lor riding Bouseh came first, and Abdol Rahim Armideh riding Agropolis, and Sattar Mehrani riding Parshasb came second and third. In the fifth races of the Fadjr competitions, the jockey of Rioformul came first, and horses Fetos and Riodenser came second and third. As reported by IRNA, the races began on 8th February in Kish, for five weeks on Fridays only, and the first races took place in the presence of the Vice-President and President of the Physical Education Organisation in Kish. The first prize is two million toumans, second prize one million toumans, and third and fourth prizes 500 thousand and 250 thousand toumans. Mahmoud Khorasani, Vice-President of the Horse Racing Federation of IR of Iran had previously told IRNA reporter: “The fifth round of races of the Persian Gulf Grand Prix for the Fadjr celebrations was changed to 5th March from 7th March.
