Kish Island has no water and electricity shortages this summer
As the country faces water shortages and power cuts due to recent droughts, Kish Island water and electricity exceeds the use of its citizens. According to KFZO Office of Cultural Affairs and PR, the Vice-President of Kish Water and Electricity Company announced the above, and added: Residents and tourists on Kish Island will have no water and power difficulties on Kish Island during the summer and the festival. Mansour Mollanouri pointed out that around 20 thousand cubic metres of water is produced daily, and said: 19 thousand and 500 cubic metres of water is used every day. He continued: Kish power station capacity is 132 MW daily and the height of use this summer is forecasted at around 104 MW in Kish. He pointed out that hotels will not be facing water and power cuts throughout the summer, and reiterated: Electricity in Kish is produced by six gas and four diesel power stations, and drinking water is produced by desalination machines.
